Office of Student Development

Office Assistant (121, 329, CLSI)
Responsible for greeting and  directing customers, answering phone calls, processing mail, making photocopies, entering data and completing additional duties as assigned. Approximately 10 hrs./week, $7.75 per hour.

Office Assistant (OSD 121, 329) – Summer 2012
Responsible for greeting and directing customers, answering phone calls, processing mail, making photocopies, entering data and completing additional duties as assigned. Approximately 30 hrs./week,  $7.75/$8.35 per hour (summer rate).

Program Assistant for Alcohol Programs
Responsible for assisting with all aspects of creating and implementing a comprehensive alcohol prevention program at Marquette, including the development of social norms messaging, educational publications, designing and presenting prevention based programs and presentations and assist with assessment and data analysis as needed .Approx. 10hrs/week, $8.35 per hour.

Program Assistant for Publications Design
Responsible for using graphic design experience and skills to assist in the development of  CLSI and Office of Student Development publications, implement the CLSI marketing plan and serve as a consultant to student organizations on advertising and promotion, publications and other projects. Prior graphic design experience and/or coursework preferred. Approximately 10 hrs./week, $8.85 per hour. May have possibility for summer hours.

Program Assistant for Publications Traffic Coordination
Responsible for managing project coordination with the Student Affairs Communications Director, the Program Assistant for Publications, the Program Assistant for Late Night Publications, and the Program Assistant for Web Development. Additional duties include development of marketing strategies, working with print vendors and managing traffic flow of the large format printer. 10-12 hours per week, $8.35 hour.

Program Assistant for Web Page Development
Responsible for using computer programming experience to develop, maintain, and revise a web page for the Office of Student Development and all of its components (Center for Community Service, Center for New Student Programs, Multicultural Center, CLSI, etc.) and for assisting student organizations with the creation and maintenance of web page accounts. Prior web design experience and/or coursework preferred. Approx.10 hrs./week, $9.35/hr.

Late Night Communications and Marketing Assistant
Responsible for assisting with creating and implementing a comprehensive late night program by developing a marketing strategy for Late Night programs at Marquette. This includes but is not limited to, working with OSD publications assistants to design advertising and publicity materials, maintaining the Late Night Marquette web site, managing the weekly email update, supervising brand marketing and logo distribution and serving as a liaison to various campus departments and community groups. Approx.10 hours/week, $8.85 per hour.

Program Assistant for Social Media/Content Writing
 Responsible for using writing, journalism and social media experience and skills to assist in the development of Student Affairs communications and marketing initiatives. Approx. 10 hrs/week $8.25 /hr.

Winter Flurry Director
 Responsible for the development, planning and coordinating of programs for the winter social held in January. Student must have prior programming and leadership experience. Should be able to communicate effectively, coordinate the student planning team, maintain program budget and possess good attention to detail. Stipend payment.

Center for Community Service

Program Assistant for Community Service
Responsible for assisting with all aspects of implementing a comprehensive community service program, including planning and facilitation  of campus-wide community service programs, transportation, volunteer recognition, reflection training, educational programs and outreach to community service organizations and community agencies. Approx. 10 hours/week $8.35 per hour.

CLSI (Center for Leadership, Service and Involvement)

CLSI Student Manager
Responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of CLSI serving as a student staff liaison with the Office of Student Development, facilitating the development of CLSI Team members, supervising student office assistants and assuring quality interactions between CLSI staff members and customers. Approximately 10 hrs./week, $8.85 per hour. Availability to begin Aug. 1 is preferred.

Program Assistant for Greek Life
Responsible for assisting the Greek Advisor with all aspects of advising the chapters and governing organizations which comprise the Greek community, including information management, promoting Greek organizations activities and enhancing the leadership development, scholarship, and service goals of fraternities and sororities. Approximately 10 hrs./week, $8.35 per hour.

Program Assistant for Multicultural Affairs
Responsible for providing leadership in creating and engaging an inclusive environment for culturally diverse students and assisting with cultural celebrations and cultural student organization activities. Approximately 10 hrs./week, $8.35/hour.

Program Assistant for Late Night Programming
Responsible for assisting with creating and implementing comprehensive Late Night programs, developing a calendar of Late Night events, reserving space in the AMU, the Recreation Center, and other campus locations to hold Late Night events, work with entertainers and agencies to book entertainment for Late Night programs and collaborating with the Program Assistant for Late Night Web Development and Publications to promote Late Night programs. Approx. 10 hrs./week, $8.35 per hour.

Program Assistant for Leadership Programs
Responsible for assisting with creating and implementing a comprehensive leadership development program at Marquette, including the development of leadership publications, the collection and maintenance of leadership resources and assisting in the design and presentation of leadership programs, seminars, and workshops. Serves as a facilitator for the Students Taking Active Roles (S.T.A.R.) Program. Approximately 10 hrs./week, $8.35 per hour.

Program Assistant for Vocation Programs
Responsible for assisting with all aspects of creating and implementing a comprehensive vocational discernment program at Marquette including assisting with vocation and leadership programs, coordinating student outreach and resource distribution efforts and assisting in the design and presentation of vocation-related speakers and events. Approx. 10 hrs./week $8.35 per hour.

Program Assistant for Commuter Programs
Responsible for assisting with all aspects of creating and implementing a comprehensive undergraduate program at Marquette. This includes the organization of the commuter lunches throughout the year, gathering input from Marquette commuters regarding community programming needs on and off campus, assist with the New Student Orientation Program for commuter students, and assisting in the design of an effective commuter assessment program. Must have an overall interest in giving Marquette commuters a quality experience as well as helping to keep commuters connected to campus happenings. Approximately 10hrs/week $8.35/hour.

Program Assistant for Student Organizations
Responsible for assisting with the management of recognized student organizations, consulting with new organizations, assisting with processing organization constitutions, event requests and other paperwork and implementing organization development and recognition programs.   Approximately 10 hrs./week, $8.35 per hour.

Program Assistant for Internet Resource Management
Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Alcohol Initiatives website at MU. Assist in the generation of web content for social marketing and educational publications within  the MU community. Strong social media background valued. Possess an overall interest in addressing high-risk behaviors  in the Marquette community through social media. Approx.10 hrs./week $10.00/hour Position open immediately.

Wage information is for the 2011-2012 academic year. Actual wages for these positions next year may be higher, once final department budgets have been determined by the university.
