I have only just arrived here at Marquette University during the Fall of 2010. I have come from the University of Colorado, Boulder where I earned an M.A. and a Ph.D. in philosophy (followed by one year of teaching as the Scholar in Residence). Prior to attending to the University of Colorado I earned an M.A. in Critical & Creative Thinking at the University of Massachusetts, Boston and my B.A. from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts.
My teaching and research interests are both primarily in modern and contemporary political philosophy. In particular I am interested in questions about political legitimacy and political authority. My philosophical interests also extend into the philosophy of religion, normative theory, and applied ethics.
In addition to my academic interests I am passionate about American Music (especially blues, jazz and rock’n’roll), American Football, and my two young children.
Return to faculty home.
