I joined the Department of Philosophy at Marquette University this fall (2007), after teaching for 10 years at California State University, Long Beach. My research focuses on early modern philosophy, especially the rationalists. But I also have abiding interests in contemporary metaphysics, medieval philosophy, philosophy of religion, epistemology, and the history of skepticism.
