The Francis X. Boden Memorial Award

This award is presented annually to an undergraduate Social Philosophy major in the graduating class selected by the philosophy faculty on the basis of academic achievement in social philosophy. The award honors Mr. Francis X. Boden who graduated from Marquette College in 1895 and practiced law in Milwaukee until his death in 1935. Throughout his life, Mr. Boden had a deep interest in philosophy.

The James H. Robb Memorial Award

This annual award was presented for the first time in 2001 to an undergraduate History of Philosophy major in the graduating class selected by the philosophy faculty on the basis of academic achievement in the history of philosophy. The award honors the much-beloved Dr. James H. Robb, Professor of Philosophy from 1956-1993.

The Rev. John Naus, S.J. Award

This annual award will be presented for the first in 2010 to an undergraduate Philosophy major in the graduating class selected by the philosophy faculty on the basis of academic achievement in the study of Philosophy.  The award honors legendary teacher Rev. John Naus, S.J.  Fr. Naus continues to inspire the Marquette community as Chaplain of the Alumni Memorial Union.
