If you would like to declare a major in Political Science, the first step is to stop by the Department office in room 468 William Wehr Physics Hall. Our administrative assistant or office staff will then give you copies of all the forms you will need and put you in contact with our department chair, Dr. Swank so that you can schedule a meeting with him.
The forms are:
| Declaration of Major Form | This form asks for your student number, number of hours you have completed at Marquette, and what majors and minors you intend to complete. | |
| Supplemental Declaration of Major Form | This form asks which track you would like to complete and what courses you have already completed. | |
| Political Science Major Worksheet | This lists the distribution of courses you have to complete to finish the major and is only to help you plan what courses to take. |
Once you have completed the forms, you will need to schedule an appointment to see our chair, Dr. LeBlanc. (If you already have the forms and would like to schedule an appointment, you may contact him at x86842 or Lawrence.LeBlanc@Marquettte.edu.) Dr. Swank will explain the major requirements, ask you about your interests, assign the most appropriate faculty advisor, and answer any questions you may have. This meeting will not last more than 30 minutes.
We look forward to having you as part of our program!
