Jeanne-Nicole Mellon Saint-Laurent
Assistant Professor

Jeanne-Nicole Mellon Saint-Laurent (Ph.D., Brown University, 2009) is a scholar of Syriac Studies and Early Christianity, with special interests in hagiography and sacred narrative. She is currently Assistant Director of the Syriac Reference Portal project that is supported by grants from the NEH and Balzan Foundation to create an on-line reference portal for Syriac Studies. She has worked on the Syriac Reference Portal as an External Research Scholar at NYU's Institute for the Study of the Ancient World. Her publications focus on Syriac hagiography, and she is completing a book entitled Syriac Missionary Legends, which is contracted to be published with the University of California Press.
