TALK WITH YOUR STUDENT
As midterm exams approach, now is a great time to check in with your student about
how the semester is going. Midterm exams run Oct. 15–21, followed by Fall Break on
Oct. 22 and 23, offering students a chance to recharge before the final stretch of
the semester. This is also a good opportunity to talk about planning ahead, as students
will begin preparing for spring registration through advising appointments scheduled
Nov. 2–13.
Beyond the classroom, encourage your student to get involved in experiences that help
them build community and leadership skills. The Arrupe Center for Community Service and Social Responsibility offers one-day service opportunities and ongoing programs throughout the year, making
it easy for students to serve others while connecting with fellow Marquette students.
If your student is looking for a leadership opportunity on campus, New Student and
Family Programs is also hiring Orientation Staff for next year, with application information available on its website.
Immediately impact students’ lives and support the breadth of everything that goes into making the Marquette experience.
The unrestricted Marquette Fund allows the university to be nimble and ensures the
strongest Marquette today and into the future. Scholars Funds provide scholarship
support to students today.
