The Haggerty Museum of Art advances Marquette University’s mission by enriching the intellectual and creative lives of students and communities at large through engagement with the Museum’s collections, exhibitions and programs.
The Haggerty offers great opportunities for people seeking careers in the museum field. We are a composition of talented and forward-thinking staff members working together as a team to offer our visitors the best possible experience.
Current Staff opportunities:
Collections Manager and Registrar
The Collections Manager and Registrar is a knowledgeable and experienced art museum professional who leads and implements the highest stewardship standards for works of art entrusted to the Haggerty Museum of Art. They lead and oversee logistics for the Haggerty Museum of Art’s exhibition program, ensure continuity of care for works of art owned by and lent to the Museum, and manage both acquisition and deaccessioning procedures for the Museum’s collection of over 10,000 works of art.
Current Student opportunities:
Student Gallery Attendant
Haggerty Museum of Art Student Gallery Attendants help to create a welcoming and engaging environment for all visitors while overseeing the safety of works of art exhibited in the Museum’s galleries.
We encourage students from across the campus to apply for internships. Student interns work closely with museum staff in all departments including: exhibitions, education and marketing. Internships can be arranged for class credit in accordance with the professor you are working with and the Haggerty supervisor. Students interested in applying for an internship should email a resume and cover letter that identifies the department you are interested in working with and your goals for an internship to firstname.lastname@example.org
