On November 5, 2009, Dr. Anthony Pennington-Cross participated in the conference entitled Foreclosures in Wisconsin: Responses and Resources for Living Beyond the Bubble. The conference, cosponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the City of Milwaukee, Marquette University Law School, the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), is one in a series of events that have been held in order to address the issues and concerns associated with foreclosure in Wisconsin. The daylong conference featured several panel discussions and keynote addresses by Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and WHEDA Executive Director Antonio Riley.
Dr. Pennington-Cross participated in The Future of Housing Finance panel with Sharon Price of the National Housing Conference and Michael Brown of Burlington Associates in Community Development, LLC. These experts discussed the current mortgage foreclosure crisis and the impact it will have on the future of housing policy.
