News from the CRE

The Winter 2010 Newsletter is now available.

The Center for Real Estate (CRE) had a busy fall semester and there is much to report on including: 

(1) MU Real Estate students participated in the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation 3rd Annual Real Estate Career Day; (2) A new Real Estate Elective, Ethics & Sustainability is being offered in the Spring 2010 semester; (3)The chief economist for the National Association of Realtors was on campus to present The State of the US Housing Market; (4) Jerry Franke, President of WISPARK LLC joined the CRE as the ACRE adjunct instructor and the ACRE Class of ’10 begins next week.

Jerry Franke receives leadership award from NAIOP Wisconsin

 

Jerry Franke, President of WISPARK LLC and ACRE adjunct instructor, received a NAIOP Wisconsin Leadership Award.  The award is designed to honor individuals who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment and dedication to the chapter and its mission.  Franke served as the chapter’s second president. He joined the association 1987. He served on the NAIOP Corporate Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and is currently a member of the Environment and Infrastructure (government affairs) committee and the Urban Redevelopment National Forum.  The second leadership award was given to Mark Irgens of Irgens Development Partners.
