WebCAPE Placement

Placement for French, German, and Spanish

FREN 1, GERM 1, SPAN 1

Student was placed in 001 by the WebCAPE placement test and has studied less than 2 years of the language in high school. Student would receive a score on the placement test within the following range:

     French: below 280
     German: below 300
     Spanish: below 220

NOTE:

If the student has had 2 years or more of the language in high school, he or she must register for 9 (even if placed in 001 by the WebCAPE placement test).

SPAN 9

Student was placed in SPAN 9 by the WebCAPE placement test or has studied 2 years or more of the language in high school (even if placed in 1 by the WebCAPE placement test). Student would receive a score on the placement test within the following range:

     Spanish: 221-300

FREN 3, GERM 3, SPAN 3

Student was placed in 3 by the WebCAPE placement test. Student would receive a score on the placement test within the following range:

    French: 281-400
    German: 301-440
    Spanish: 301-425

FREN 10,* GERM 10,* SPAN 10*

Student was placed in 10 by the WebCAPE placement test. Student would receive a score on the placement test within the following range:

    French: 401-550
    German: 441-550
    Spanish: 426-550

FREN 82,* GERM 82,* SPAN 82*

Student was placed in 82 by the WebCAPE placement test. Student would receive a score on the placement test within the following range:

    French: Above 551
    German: Above 551
    Spanish: Above 551
