Intercultural Programs at Marquette

Mosaic is a monthly newsletter designed to keep members of the Marquette community informed about intercultural events, programs and initiatives sponsored or supported by the Office of Student Development’s Intercultural Programs. Through our Intercultural Programs, the Office of Student Development supports retention efforts, initiates dialogue, develops culturally competent student leaders, reaches out to the community, and continues our celebration of cultures. From September through May, there are many opportunities to get culturally involved.

Anyone who is interested in being added to this monthly newsletter can contact Pamela Peters, Assistant Dean for Intercultural Programs at pamela.peters@mu.edu.

Take a Carillon Class

Starting the Spring 2009 semester, MUSI 85: Carillon Discovery will be offered. In this introduction to the world of carillon, the student explores the history, musical characteristics, bell foundries and carillons worldwide through readings, recordings, the Internet and visits to the university carillon. This discovery is designed for a greater appreciation of the carillon for both musicians and non-musicians.
