The Residence Hall Association is a great way to jumpstart your campus involvement and take an important leadership role right from the start. With all of the various positions that we offer, you should be able to find one that has the perfect fit for you.

RHA Executive Board – The RHA Executive Board is a group of seven individuals who work together to plan and execute all of the meetings and events in the organization. They are a vital resource to the representatives in the organization. The available positions on the RHA Executive Board include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, National Communications Coordinator, Parliamentarian and Publicity Coordinator.

Deadline for President and Vice President is Friday, February 22 at 3 pm
Deadline for all other positions is Wednesday, March 26 at 3 pm
RHA Representatives – The RHA representatives serve as a liaison between the Residence Hall Association and their respective residence councils. They vote on behalf of their halls/apartments on business during RHA, and they assist in the planning of all RHA programs. They also serve as a member of their Residence Council Executive Board taking on all of the responsibilities of the Executive Board members.
Residence Council Executive Board – The Residence Council Executive Board serves a similar purpose to the RHA Executive Board, but it works on the level of the individual buildings as the Hall Council Executive Board or as the Apartment Council Executive Board for the university-owned apartments. The available positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, RHA Representative.
Floor/Wing/Apartment Representatives – These representatives are active members of their Council. They help to address issues in the hall and apartments as well as plan programs. They also take all necessary information between their floors and the Hall Council or between their apartment building and the Apartment Council.

Elections for the Hall Council and Apartment Council Executive Board positions, including the RHA Representatives, take place during the very beginning of the fall semester every year. Elections for the RHA Executive Board take place during the middle of the spring semester and carry over through the following year. Look for information posted or contact your Hall Director, RA or Apartment Manager for more information.
