The Haggerty Museum of Art and the Ott Memorial Writing Center invite members of the campus community to take time this spring to enjoy art and writing together for mental health. Visit the Haggerty in person or online to find specially selected artworks paired with viewing and writing prompts that promote emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing. Planned in coordination with Spring 2021 mental health days — February 9, March 10, April 20, and May 5 — Looking Good, Marquette also celebrates Black History Month, Women's History Month, Poetry Month, and Mental Health Awareness Month.
Close observational looking can lead to deeper, more meaningful reflection. In many ways, reading an image can be like reading a written text:*
