Learning Outcomes Assessment
As part of Marquette’s student learning assessment system, Student Affairs departments and most of our partnering units collect data to measure the effectiveness of programs and services in helping student meet the learning outcomes established by the department. This assessment not only helps the Marquette community understand how co-curricular experiences contribute to the learning that takes place at the university, but also helps us to improve upon our efforts.
As a result of experiences and programs across the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Ministry, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate skills and behaviors that contribute to the development of positive community
- Demonstrate intercultural competence
- Work for justice through community service and engagement
- Demonstrate ethical, informed, and reflective leadership as problem-solvers and agents of change
- Take an active role in their personal wellness (emotional, physical, and spiritual) that supports a healthy lifestyle
Departmental Learning Outcomes
Each department has identified key learning outcomes that are measured through a regular cycle of assessment that leads to continual improvement. To see each department’s complete assessment plan and previous annual reports, visit the Assessment at Marquette website.
