History: Rev. Frank O’Loughlin and Sister Carol Putnam, R.S.C.J., founded Hope Rural School, 1980, which has served many Maya Indian students whose families emigrated from Guatemala. Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary (Sinsinawa, Wisconsin) and School Sisters of Notre Dame (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), have served the school.
