History: Saint Marguerite d’Youville (1701-1771) founded the Grey Nuns in Montreal as the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity. They made their first U.S. foundation, 1921; moved to Philadelphia, 1922; and have staffed St. Mary’s School (Eskimo), Kodiak, Alaska, 1956-present.
