History: St. Georgenberg Abbey was founded in 1138. Benedictines from St. Georgenberg administered the following Native American parishes on the Fort Peck Reservation, Montana:

1913-1931 (transferred to Great Falls-Billings Diocese, Great Falls, Montana)

Immaculate Conception Church (Assiniboine, Sisseton, Wahpeton), Wolf Point

1913-1931 (transferred to Great Falls-Billings Diocese, Great Falls, Montana)

Our Lady of Lourdes/ St. Ursula Church (Assiniboine, Sisseton, Wahpeton), Poplar
