History: The Sisters of the Society Devoted to the Sacred Heart were founded in Hungary, 1940, and self-identify with the post-nominal initials, “S.D.S.H.” They made their first U.S. foundation, California, 1956.

1988-2000

Sister Lucia Tu, S.D.S.H., directed the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Office of Ethnic Ministries, which included ministry to Native Americans in the Archdiocese with involvement in the Tekakwitha Conference

2000s-present

Sisters of the Society devoted to the Sacred Heart have served Santa Inés Mission (Chumush), Solvang, with religious education
