Description: Prints of the 21 Spanish Franciscan Native American missions in California and the Royal Presidio Chapel, Monterey; included are over 500 images from San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo Mission, and over 100 each from San Antonio de Padua, San Juan Capistrano, San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, Santa Bárbara, and San Juan Bautista Missions; notable photographers: Richard J. Arnold (1856-1929), Dan Freeman (1876-1962), Thomas Houseworth (1828-?), C.W.J. Johnson (1883-1903), Carleton E. Watson (1829-1916).
