History: The Diocese of Saginaw was erected within the northeast of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, 1938, from territory in the Archdiocese of Detroit. In 1970, it lost territory for erecting another diocese. Saginaw and its predecessors have administered the following Native American missions, parishes, and schools in Michigan.
