History: St. John Church, Wahpeton, Sisseton Reservation, North Dakota, has been a predominantly non-Native American parish in the Diocese of Fargo (Archives: Fargo, North Dakota). Fargo diocesan priests at St. John's attended to the following Native American (Sisseton-Wahpeton Dakota) mission and school on the Lake Traverse Reservation, North Dakota.
