History: Divine Mercy Church, Schuyler, has been a predominantly non-Native American parish with some Mayan Indian parishioners, 2008-present. Omaha archdiocesan priests have administered the parish, which was formed by the merger of two former parishes in Schuyler, one of which was St. Mary’s that included some Mayan Indian parishioners, 1980s-2008.
