Academic Integrity

Welcome to Marquette University's website focused on academic integrity. This website is designed to provide information and resources for students, faculty and staff who are interested in learning more about academic integrity.

As an institution of higher education, Marquette University is committed to developing the whole person and academic integrity, in all its forms, is an explicit value of the university community including students, faculty and staff. The development and practice of academic honesty and integrity, both inside and outside the classroom, are expectations for all members of the university community.

Beginning in the 2014-2015 academic year, Marquette University has taken a more proactive approach toward building knowledge and developing a culture around personal and academic integrity. Several new initiatives will remind students, faculty and staff of the importance of academic integrity. Incoming students, for example, will recite the honor pledge at New Student Convocation. Additionally, a mandatory online tutorial on academic integrity has been developed for undergraduate students and a separate one has been developed for graduate students. Undergraduate students will receive more information on the tutorial in the coming weeks.

Hear what Dr. Michael R. Lovell, president of Marquette University, has to say about the importance of academic integrity at Marquette.
