Here at Marquette, our work in its entirety is guided and informed by our Catholic, Jesuit mission to serve God by serving our students, faculty and staff. Those who are part of our educational mission are asked to build a community of belonging based on God’s love for all. Our express purpose in the Division of Belonging and Student Affairs is to form students who, upon graduation, are grounded in ethical and moral values and prepared to engage and lead in a complex and global world.
DBSA Annual Report
The Division of Belonging and Student Affairs provides care and formative opportunities across Marquette that help students feel known, supported, and empowered to grow as leaders for and with others. At Marquette, belonging is more than a feeling of connection. Our Catholic, Jesuit mission calls us to honor the inherent dignity of every person, build structures of solidarity that support every student equitably, and create meaningful opportunities for each student to fully participate in our community and contribute their distinctive gifts, perspectives, identities, and experiences as their authentic selves. The work documented in this report demonstrates our commitment to the belonging and flourishing of every Marquette student.
