Bringing Research to Life: Digital Storytelling Services at Raynor

Digital storytelling weaves research into a narrative that audiences can explore through timelines, maps, images, and sound. It is also a meaningful skill for students
—building a digital story asks them to think carefully about evidence, audience, and narrative while engaging with the course's subject matter.

Raynor Library's Digital Scholarship Team offers consulting and instruction services to support digital storytelling for research and teaching. We can help you or your students use popular tools from Knight Lab, like TimelineJS for interactive timelines, StoryMapJS for stories that unfold across a map, and JuxtaposeJS for side-by-side image comparisons.

We can consult on individual research or course projects, or collaborate with instructors to design digital storytelling assignments and teach digital storytelling tools in the classroom.
