Marquette to dedicate new College of Nursing location in Pleasant Prairie

MILWAUKEE — Marquette University on Thursday, Nov. 10, will dedicate its new Pleasant Prairie location where students can earn an accelerated master's in nursing degree in as few as 18 months. The ceremony, which will be held at 8201 104th St., Pleasant Prairie, Wisc., will begin with a reception and tour of the facility at 4:30 p.m. Remarks and a brief program will start at 5 p.m.

The expansion of Marquette's Master of Science in Nursing Second Degree Direct Entry for Non-Nurses program (DE MSN) allows students to earn a master's degree through a combination of online coursework and hands-on labs and in-hospital clinical rotations. The Pleasant Prairie student learning center boasts a state-of-the-art simulation lab, and lecture rooms. The first cohort began in September.
