MILWAUKEE — Rick Graber, president and CEO of the Bradley Foundation, will be the featured guest in an upcoming “On the Issues with Mike Gousha,” Thursday, Oct. 17, at 12:15 p.m. in the Lubar Center at Marquette Law School’s Eckstein Hall.
The Milwaukee-based Bradley Foundation is a powerful force in the world of philanthropy, granting between $35 and $45 million to hundreds of charities in Milwaukee and around the country. As part of its mission “to strengthen civil society,” the foundation has been a longtime supporter of performing arts groups in Milwaukee, but its national reputation stems from its support of conservative principles, programs and policies, some of which have made the foundation a lightning rod for criticism.
Graber is no stranger to the public arena. The former CEO of a prominent Milwaukee law firm and business executive, he also served as U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic and chair of the Wisconsin Republican Party. In this conversation, Graber will discuss the foundation’s mission, priorities and activities.
Gousha, an award-winning journalist, continues his “On the Issues” series of provocative and insightful interviews with local and national public officials, journalists and other newsmakers throughout the year. A complete schedule is available online.
Through public programming such as the Marquette Law School Poll, debates featuring candidates in significant political races, Gousha’s “On the Issues” conversations with newsmakers, public lectures by leading scholars and conferences on significant issues of public importance, the Law School serves as the region’s leading venue for serious civil discourse about law and public policy matters.
The event is open to members of the general public at no cost; registration is required and is available online. Members of the media who are interested in attending should contact Kevin Conway, associate director of university communication, at email@example.com.
Kevin is the associate director for university communication in the Office of Marketing and Communication. Contact Kevin at (414) 288-4745 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
