Marquette Law School Poll logoMILWAUKEE — Dr. Charles Franklin, director of the Marquette University Law School Poll, will release the results of a new statewide poll on Thursday, Dec. 12, in a special media-only presentation with Mike Gousha, distinguished fellow in law and public policy, at 1:30 p.m. in the Lubar Center at Marquette University Law School’s Eckstein Hall.

Franklin will report the findings of a new Marquette Law School Poll conducted after the conclusion of public testimony in congressional impeachment hearings on Capitol Hill. How have voters reacted to the House impeachment inquiries? What do they believe happened, do they think President Trump did something wrong, and do they support or oppose the impeachment and removal of the president? How have these opinions changed since October?

Plus, the Democratic presidential primaries begin in fewer than 60 days. How do the candidates rank in our state, and how do they fare in matchups with President Trump? In Wisconsin politics, how do voters feel about Governor Evers’s handling of his job, and where do they see the economy heading in the next year?

The Marquette Law School Poll is the most extensive statewide polling project in Wisconsin history. Franklin has directed the poll since its inception in 2012 and is a professor of law and public policy at Marquette Law School. Franklin co-founded pollster.com, an award-winning site for nonpartisan polling analysis, and is a member of the ABC News election-night analysis team.

Gousha, an award-winning broadcast journalist, hosts “On the Issues,” a series of conversations with newsmakers supports Marquette Law School’s commitment to serve as a modern-day public square for the city of Milwaukee, the state of Wisconsin and beyond.
