MILWAUKEE – Marquette University will host the Justice in Action conference Saturday, Feb. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.
This one-day conference will help students explore their role in affecting social change, especially in the context of a Jesuit institution. Discussions will be led by students, faculty, staff and community leaders.
The conference will provide entry-level discussions around allyship, privilege, volunteerism and social justice issues, as well as more advanced skill-building for students who already identify as advocates and activists. The day will also include historical perspectives on social movements in Milwaukee, space for reflection and an expression project.
