Marquette to host prayer service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

MILWAUKEE — Marquette University will host a campus-wide prayer service to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Family in the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave. The university is closed on the national observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The service will provide an opportunity for reflection and will include readings from King’s works, songs and prayer.

The service is sponsored by Campus Ministry, Raynor Memorial Libraries, the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion, and the English Department.
