Marquette to host annual Three Minute Thesis competition

2020 Three Minute Thesis CompetitionMILWAUKEE — The Marquette Graduate School will host its annual Three Minute Thesis competition Friday, Feb. 21, at 4 p.m. in the Weasler Auditorium, 1506 W. Wisconsin Ave.

Graduate students will compete for a $1,000 prize by presenting their research in three minutes or less using one slide and no animation. There will be an array of presentations from various disciplines including political science, engineering, theology, biological sciences, psychology and history. The winner will represent Marquette University in a regional Three Minute Thesis competition at the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools, April 1-3, at the St. Kate Arts Hotel in Milwaukee.

The Three Minute Thesis entrants will be judged by Jason Rae, Marquette alumnus and Secretary of the Democratic National Committee; Kelly McShane, Marquette alumna and university trustee; Keith Stanley, executive director of Avenues West and the Near West Side Partners; and Mike Gousha, distinguished fellow in law and public policy in Marquette Law School.
