MILWAUKEE — Marquette University’s student-athletes will host a #LovellStrong 5K Fun Run on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 8:45 a.m. on the university’s Central Mall.
To show support for Marquette President Michael R. Lovell and all those who are battling cancer, Marquette’s student-athletes invited the university community to come together for a #LovellStrong 5K run/walk. About 150 in-person participants and over 60 virtual runners will join the Marquette family in standing #LovellStrong.
Members of the Marquette Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and men’s lacrosse team will deliver opening remarks and Rev. John Laurance, S.J., chaplain for the men’s basketball team, will offer the invocation prior to the run.
- When: Sunday, Nov. 7. Opening remarks begin at 8:45 a.m. with the run to start at 9 a.m.
- Where: Marquette University Central Mall, located between Raynor Memorial Libraries and Lalumiere Hall (south of Wisconsin Avenue)
- Parking: Complimentary parking will be available on Sunday, Nov. 7, in the 16th Street Parking Structure (749 N. 16th St.). A map of the visitor parking structures can be found here.
