#LovellStrong 5K logoMILWAUKEE — Marquette University’s student-athletes will host a #LovellStrong 5K Fun Run on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 8:45 a.m. on the university’s Central Mall.

To show support for Marquette President Michael R. Lovell and all those who are battling cancer, Marquette’s student-athletes invited the university community to come together for a #LovellStrong 5K run/walk. About 150 in-person participants and over 60 virtual runners will join the Marquette family in standing #LovellStrong.

Members of the Marquette Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and men’s lacrosse team will deliver opening remarks and Rev. John Laurance, S.J., chaplain for the men’s basketball team, will offer the invocation prior to the run.

Event information:

  • When: Sunday, Nov. 7. Opening remarks begin at 8:45 a.m. with the run to start at 9 a.m.
  • Where: Marquette University Central Mall, located between Raynor Memorial Libraries and Lalumiere Hall (south of Wisconsin Avenue)
  • Parking: Complimentary parking will be available on Sunday, Nov. 7, in the 16th Street Parking Structure (749 N. 16th St.). A map of the visitor parking structures can be found here.
