Feb. 16, 2021

Abim KolawaleMILWAUKEE — Abim Kolawole, vice president of customer experience integration at Northwestern Mutual, will be the featured guest during an upcoming virtual “On the Issues with Mike Gousha,” Wednesday, Feb. 17.

The video will be available at 12:15 p.m. on the Marquette Law School website.

Late last year, Northwestern Mutual announced that it would dedicate $20 million to advancing Black entrepreneurs through venture capital funding and a new startup accelerator. Kolawole is one of the people helping lead the initiative. Before joining Northwestern Mutual, he worked as a securities and corporate finance lawyer at New York-based law firms and previously served as a staff attorney with the enforcement division of the Securities and Exchange Commission in New York. He also served nine years as an Army officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve.

The virtual “On the Issues” is available to all members of the general public.

Through public programming such as the Marquette Law School Poll, debates featuring candidates in significant political races, Gousha’s “On the Issues” conversations with newsmakers, public lectures by leading scholars, conferences on significant issues of public importance, and the work of its Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, Marquette Law School serves as the region’s leading venue for civil discourse about law and public policy matters.
