Memorial Day history

Memorial Day traces its origins back to the Civil War and Decoration Day. Dr. James Marten, professor of history, can offer a historical perspective on the holiday and its origins, as well as the history of soldiers’ homes and other veterans’ issues. Consumer trends

Dr. Felicia Miller, chair and professor of marketing, can speak to consumer trends surrounding Memorial Day and what they could look like this year due to the changing dynamics of the pandemic. She can be reached at felicia.miller@marquette.edu.
