Marquette Law School’s Lubar Center to host in-person “On the Issues” program looking at the Wisconsin election, May 18

Lubar Center signageMILWAUKEE — Prof. Charles Franklin, director of the Marquette Law School Poll; John Johnson, research fellow in the school’s Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education; and Craig Gilbert, former Washington bureau chief for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and current fellow in the Lubar Center, will discuss Wisconsin’s 2022 election outlook in an upcoming “On the Issues,” Wednesday, May 18, at 12:15 p.m. in the Lubar Center at Marquette University Law School’s Eckstein Hall.

The conversation will be introduced by Hilary DeBlois, program manager of the Lubar Center, and moderated by Alan Borsuk, senior fellow in law and public policy at the Law School. The event, which marks a return to in-person events at Eckstein Hall, is open to members of the general public at no cost; registration is required and is available online. The Law School’s team of experts will share perspectives on the effects of redistricting, changes in voter demographics, and highlights of poll data on some of the most significant issues facing the state.

Through public programming such as the Marquette Law School Poll, “On the Issues” conversations with newsmakers, public lectures by leading scholars, conferences on issues of public significance, and the work of its Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, Marquette Law School seeks to advance civil discourse about law and public policy matters.
