O'Brien HallMILWAUKEE — Media are invited to attend a tour of the recently completed Dr. E. J. and Margaret O’Brien Hall, home of Marquette Business and innovation leadership programs, on Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Media will have the opportunity to see the completed facility, which opened its doors to students on Tuesday, Jan. 17, and conduct interviews with university and college leaders involved in the development of the facility.

O’Brien Hall Facts

  • The $60 million, 109,000 square-foot facility will be the largest fully donor-funded construction project in university history.
  • Builder: J.H. Findorff & Son Inc.
  • Designers: BNIM, Workshop Architects, GRAEF
  • The new building features up to 17 classroom spaces across four levels. Each classroom is equipped with technology to accommodate in-person, virtual or hybrid learning.
  • A new Brew café makes its home on the first floor of O'Brien Hall.
  • There are 12 dedicated meeting rooms throughout the building reserved for student and faculty use.
  • Unique working and learning spaces
    • Baird Applied Investment Management Lab — Home to AIM, the college’s marquee investment and financial technology program.
    • Deloitte Foundation Innovation Lab & Pitch Pit — This space gives students an area to present ideas to faculty or partner companies and organizations
    • Board room — Students can present information in an environment modeled after a modern-day corporate board room.
    • Recording studio — A nearly soundproof room equipped with lighting, cameras and a green screen for recording lectures or presentations.
