Marquette Horizons at Herzing is a transfer program for students who wish to start their four-year college career by taking freshman year online with Herzing and then transfer to Marquette University to complete their degree.

You start by taking transferable coursework at Herzing University in your first year. Upon successfully completing the courses with an overall 2.5 GPA and no grade lower than a C, you are guaranteed transfer admission to Marquette where you can complete your bachelor's degree in as few as three years. Participants are eligible for the Pere Marquette Scholarship and need based financial aid once transferred to Marquette.

Marquette Horizons participants must choose one of the eligible Marquette colleges / programs:

• Klingler College of Arts and Sciences (all majors)
• Diederich College of Communication (all majors)
• College of Business Administration (all majors, requires 3.0 GPA for admission)
• College of Health Sciences (Biomedical Sciences or Medical Laboratory Science major, requires 3.0 GPA for admission)

Courses

Following are the courses you will take as part of the Marquette Horizons at Herzing program. These courses have been carefully selected to ensure your success in attaining your bachelor's, and include three courses (underlined below) from Marquette's Core Curriculum taught by Marquette faculty.

All participants complete the following eight (8) courses:

• PHIL 1001 - Foundations in Philosophy
• THEO 1001 - Foundations in Theology
• SOCI 1001 - Introduction to Sociology
• EC 111 - Microeconomics
• EN 104 - English Composition I
• MA 109 - College Algebra
• MA 320 - Statistics
• PS 101 - Psychology

Participants may also choose to take up to two (2) additional courses at Marquette during the summer session that would count towards an applicant's college/major interest. 

Additionally, Horizons students have access to many different Marquette resources, including an assigned MU advisor, academic coaching, a peer coach currently enrolled as a student at MU, free admission to non-basketball MU athletic events, and opportunities for in-person and virtual interaction with Marquette students.

Marquette Horizons at Herzing students are part of the Marquette family from the start. While at Herzing, students will be able to use all the services that Herzing University provides and will also receive opportunities to utilize Marquette libraries, participate in online or virtual clubs/events, attend Marquette sporting events, draw on Marquette’s transfer advising, and receive a Marquette ID.

Your cost savings

With the Marquette Horizons at Herzing program, the tuition rate is $7,305 per semester (including e-books and fees). Other costs exist. Students can transfer up to 24 credits and shave off one year at Marquette. Typically, you will only have three years remaining at Marquette University, and you will eligible for scholarship and financial aid for all three of those years!
