The Lab’s shared web hosting account is available for students, faculty and staff to develop digital projects, scholarship, and textbooks. Examples include interactive websites, public-facing student writing, open-access scholarly publications, and open education resources.

The Lab can provide approximately 3GB of shared web hosting for three (3) years. We can install and host web publishing applications that use a LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). Popular web publishing applications we can host include:

  • WordPress
  • Pressbooks
  • Omeka
  • Scalar

The Lab can provide consultation and instruction for the applications we're hosting. And of course, the Lab always offers consultation services and support for a wide variety of digital scholarship and web technologies.

We’re accepting applications for web publishing project support on a semester-by-semester basis. Students, faculty and staff seeking web publishing project support for the Spring 2023 semester should submit an application before the Thanksgiving holiday break 11/24/2022.
