Cycle Forward

Cycle Forward LogoHand cycling is an adaptive form of cycling in which individuals use their arms to power a three-wheeled cycle. Marquette’s Neuro Recovery Clinic is proud to host Cycle Forward, a hand cycle program, designed for individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI). The goal of Cycle Forward is to improve access to outdoor recreation, adapted exercise, and leisure activities.

Individuals with tetraplegia and paraplegia are welcome to participate. Individuals can bring their own hand cycle or reserve one of program’s cycles. No prior cycling experience is required. Trained occupational therapists will be on site to ensure optimal fit, appropriate supports, and needed modifications for all riders.

Rides will be hosted once a month, indoors or outdoors, dependent on weather. Indoor rides will use stationary trainers. The location of the group may vary each month, please contact program leaders for more information.
