Marquette to host 5th annual Corporate Communication Summit

MILWAUKEE - Developing the next generation of corporate communicators will be the focus of the daylong Corporate Communication Insight Summit at Marquette University on Friday, April 22.

The fifth annual summit will be keynoted by Bridget Coffing, chief communication executive officer emeritus from McDonald's Corporation. Open to the public, tickets are required and include breakfast and lunch. Proceeds from the event benefit a scholarship fund for students of Marquette University Diederich College of Communication.

Coffing will share her insights into the strategic practices of public affairs, issues management and marketing communications. At McDonald's, Coffing led a global team to stimulate dialogue with employees, international media, stakeholders, customers, and the NGO community. She helped shape strategic brand communications in order to strengthen the company's work to make a difference as a corporate citizen.

Other speakers at the event include industry and academic professionals from Cree, Golin, Johnson Controls, Purdue University, DePaul University, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, APCO Worldwide, MP Gonring Associates, Northwestern Mutual and Finn Partners.

The event is sponsored by the Diederich College of Communication, Northwestern Mutual and Cree. In addition to the summit, participants are invited to a complimentary networking reception on Thursday, April 21, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Marquette's Johnston Hall jPad.
