Alex Milovic Associate Professor of Practice, Marketing
Expertise: Sales, Marketing Education, Sales Education, Tipping culture, consumer behavior, shopping and spending habits, retail trends
What is your expertise? I teach sales and marketing, and I was the founding director of the Center for Professional Selling at Marquette, now serving as associate director. Prior to my academic career, I spent eight years in various sales, marketing, and IT roles for Black and Decker, Weaver Partners and Goldman Sachs.
What is your background? I like to discuss consumer behavior: why people buy what they buy and consumer psychology. I'm also interested in small business marketing and offering tips and tricks to help improve word of mouth marketing and buyer engagement.
What are you talking about with media? What should they be asking? I am contacted a lot around retail holidays: Black Friday, Christmas, etc. Reporters are interested in the evolving retail trends and what to expect each holiday season. I am asked to talk about small business strategy, consumer insights and behavior, and overall industry analysis from a marketing perspective.
Milovic is open to TV, Radio and Print media and can be contacted via email, alexander.milovic@marquette.edu.
