What You Need to Know Before You Attend

American Family Field Student and Guest Instructions

Safety and Medical

  • All guests 2 years and older will be required to wear a face mask covering the nose and mouth for the duration of the event. Guests who do not adhere to the American Family Field mask policy will be asked to leave the event.
  • While you must wear a mask at all times while at American Family Field for the in-person Graduate Recognition Ceremony, students will now be permitted to remove your mask as you cross the stage and have your photo taken. You must re-mask after you exit the stage.

Complimentary Parking - American Family Field Lots

  • Brewers 1 Lot / Braves 1 Lot / Braves 2 Lot / Thomas Lot / Aaron Lot / Money Lot / Fingers Lot / Molitor Lot
  • Parking lots will open 90 minutes prior to the Recognition Ceremony start time.

Tailgating 

  • No tailgating will be permitted before or after the ceremony.

Security

  • All attendees will be subject to full screening, including metal detection and searches of any bags being carried in.
  • Ticket scanning will take place.

Gate Entry for Students

  • Right Field Gate Entrance
  • Gates will open 60 minutes prior to the ceremony.
  • Students will receive further directions upon arrival.
  • Students will be individually recognized starting at the beginning of the ceremony. Their name will be announced as they cross the stage to receive their diploma cover. After crossing the stage, they will join their two guests in the stadium seating.

Gate Entry for Guests

  • Third Base Gate and Home Plate Gate
  • Gates will open 60 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Recommended Footwear

  • Graduates will be standing for some time before they cross the stage.
  • Graduates will be walking along the warning track of the field.
  • Graduates are strongly encouraged to wear comfortable footwear. High heels (including kitten and mid-sized heels) are not permitted on the track. ONLY BLOCK OR WEDGE HEELS ARE ADVISABLE.

Tickets and Seating Assignments

  • Two guests (maximum) and graduate will be seated in “pods” of three seats.
  • Tickets will be distributed at cap and gown pickup. Tickets will be provided for those who preregistered.
  • A limited amount of ADA seats will be available. Seating will be assigned. Please contact University Special Events to reserve ADA seating.
  • We encourage guests who might not be able to navigate stairs easily to attend the event virtually via the online platform.
  • Guests 2 years and younger do not require a ticket, however they will need to sit on a parent or family member’s lap. Children 3 years and older will require a ticket and be required to wear a mask.

Bag Policy

  • Permitted Bags: Single-compartment bags (9” x 5” x 2” and smaller).
  • Prohibited Bags: Any bags/luggage larger than 9” x 5” x 2” and any multi-zip or multi-compartment bags.
  • Exceptions will be made for diaper and ADA medical bags.

Prohibited Items

  • Silly string, confetti, balloons and flowers are prohibited.
  • Please refer to the Brewers' security page for a list of all other prohibited items.

Concessions

  • Concessions will not be sold.
  • Carry-in food or snacks are not permitted.
  • Soda, water or juice in factory-sealed plastic bottles is permitted (one per person, no larger than 32 ounces).

Wheelchairs 

  • A limited number of wheelchairs will be available. Guests may request a wheelchair transport at the Home Plate gates upon arrival and again at the conclusion of graduation. The wheelchair will not be kept at the guest's seat during the event.

Hand Sanitizer

  • Frequently wash your hands with soap and water, available in all restrooms. Hand sanitizer can also be used and is available at stations located outside the restrooms, Guest Relations and gate areas.
