To play our part in ensuring the safety of the Marquette as COVID-19 cases increase, the Counseling Center will primarily be offering clinical services virtually. If you need support, call us at 414-288-7172 to speak with a counselor to discuss your treatment needs and plan.
Monday - Friday
8am - 4:30pm
Located in Holthusen Hall,
Room 204
Call 414-288-7172 to schedule a phone consultation with one of our practitioners. During that 15-20 minute consultation, you will discuss your eligibility, treatment needs and plan.
We are currently offering both telehealth and in person appointments and your counselor will discuss with you what would be clinically appropriate for your particular situation.
Additionally, trained professional staff members are available during regular business hours to take phone calls from students, faculty, staff and others who have urgent requests and needs.
If you are worried about someone else's safety and want to know how to help them, please call us to consult.
For students who need longer term, specialized treatment, referrals will be made to clinicians in the community; options are largely driven by insurance, but we have an updated list of community clinics and clinicians we can recommend. We can also help find referrals for those with limited or no insurance or desire out-of-pocket options.
Crisis Services
For students with pressing mental health needs, crisis services remain available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for mental health emergencies:
Walk in services for Fall 2021 have been modified so we encourage you to call 414-288-7172 to speak to a counselor prior to coming to the Center.
Masks are required in all of our spaces regardless of vaccination status.
You will be required to show your green COVID cheq upon arrival in the Center and may be asked additional screening questions by our front office staff.
