Working as a student employee for the Office of Engagement and Inclusion and our partner offices is a great way to get involved on campus. There's a variety of different positions, including office assistants, publications assistants, conduct board, and programming assistants.
The Office of Engagement and Inclusion seeks dedicated, committed individuals who are willing to exercise leadership and make an impact on the Marquette campus community. Each year hundreds of programs and services are designed by students and staff of the Office to encourage active student involvement, foster a lifelong ethic of service, and enhance student leadership. Program Assistant for Sorority and Fraternity Life
Responsible for assisting the Sorority and Fraternity Advisor with all aspects of advising the chapters and governing organizations which comprise the sorority and fraternity community, including information management, promoting sorority and fraternity activities and enhancing the leadership development, scholarship, and service goals of fraternities and sororities. Program Assistant for Engagement and Inclusion
The Program Assistant (PA) position is a student position in the Office of Intercultural Engagement, which includes the Center for Intercultural Engagement and the LGBTQ Resource Center, designed to provide students with programming and event planning, coordination, and implementation experience. The position also offers students an opportunity to learn more about the Catholic-Jesuit value of human dignity and social justice, while also fostering an appreciation for diversity and inclusion in a global context. The Program Assistant will also work closely in connecting first generation students and students from underrepresented racial, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, sex, and religious communities to campus resources. Further, the Program Assistant will assist students in having engaging and interactive relationships regarding diversity and inclusion at Marquette and in their respective communities. Program Assistant for Late Night Programming and Marketing
The Program Assistant for Late Night Programming is responsible for assisting with the creation and implementation of Late Night programs at Marquette University. The Program Assistant for Late Night Programming is responsible for developing a comprehensive calendar of Late Night events, reserving event and publicity space, working with entertainers and agencies to book entertainment, and collaborating with the Program Assistant for Late Night Marketing to promote Late Night programs. Program Assistant for Leadership
Responsible for assisting with creating and implementing a leadership development programming at Marquette, including the development of leadership publications, the collection and maintenance of leadership resources and assisting in the design and presentation of leadership programs, seminars, and workshops. Program Assistant for Annex Programming
The Programming Assistant reports directly to the Coordinator for Leadership Programming and Student Involvement. An outgoing personality and ability to speak to groups in a social setting is required. Responsibilities include: hosting and preparing for Annex late night programs such as Team Trivia, Pop Quiz and Bingo. Team Trivia and Pop Quiz occur approximately every other Thursday night at 9pm and Bingo roughly every other Wednesday night at 10pm. Additional programming responsibilities available through events at the AMU and Annex. Office hours required for event preparation and some night and weekend availability needed, approximately 6-10 hours per week, $8.60 per hour. Program Assistant for Student Organizations
The Program Assistant for Student Organizations is a student staff member in the Office of Student Development and participates as a member of the CLSI Team. Supervision is provided by members of the Campus Activities and Student Involvement staff. The Program Assistant for Student Organizations is responsible for assisting with the management of the 300+ registered student organizations, maintaining communication of important information to all groups, and implementing organizational development programs. Summer Office Assistant
The Summer Office Assistant is responsible for greeting and directing customers, answering phone calls, processing mail, making photocopies, entering data and completing additional duties as assigned. Additionally, this person will create publicity for events hosted by the Office of Engagement and Inclusion. Intermediate knowledge of design programs (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) required. Program Assistant for Conduct Programs
Responsible for assisting with aspects of the student conduct process, including case creation, conduct case records, the student conduct board process, and assisting with assessment and data analysis as needed. The student filing this position should have an overall interest in addressing student needs and integrity in the Marquette community and must maintain complete confidentiality. Wellness Peer Educator – Marquette University Medical Clinic
The Wellness Peer Educator is a student staff position in the Marquette University Medical Clinic (MUMC). The Director, Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention and Education Programs directly supervises the Wellness Peer Educator. The Wellness Peer Educator serves as a member of the peer education teams and is responsible for assisting with all aspects of creating and implementing a comprehensive wellness program at Marquette, including the development of social norms messaging, educational publications, designing and presenting prevention and wellness-based programs and presentations, and assisting with assessment and data analysis as needed.
