Tim M. Bergstrom

Tim M. Bergstrom, Bus Ad ’99, was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2016.

He is the president and chief executive officer of Bergstrom Automotive, headquartered in Neenah, Wisconsin. His responsibilities include the day-to-day oversight of all operations. 

Bergstrom Automotive is one of the top 50 largest automotive groups in the United States, with sales in excess of $1 billion, and employs more than 1,750 people throughout the state of Wisconsin. The company owns and operates 32 automotive locations, representing all major brands sold in the United States. Bergstrom Automotive is the only U.S. company that has been awarded franchises by all volume automotive manufacturers. 

Bergstrom Automotive has been recognized annually since 2015 as one of the “Top 5 Automotive Companies to Work For” in the country. The company differentiates itself on amazing guest service.

Tim is a cum laude graduate of Marquette University’s College of Business Administration. He later received a master of science degree in management, strategy and leadership from Michigan State University. He has completed the National Automotive Dealers Association Dealer Leadership Program. Prior to his current job responsibilities, he spent over 15 years in management positions in service, parts, body shop, and automotive sales operations.

Tim is a board member of the ThedaCare Hospital System (executive committee member) and is chair of the strategy and finance committee, as well as a board member of the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center–Neenah Foundation. Tim is also on the board of Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, a member of the Fox Cities United Way Leadership Giving Council and a board member for Secura Insurance (executive committee member).

Tim and his wife, Natalie, have three children and reside in Neenah, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Marquette University President’s Society.
