Joseph A. Walicki
Joseph A. Walicki was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2017. He has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the automotive and energy storage industry. Joe has held several sales and operations leadership positions with Johnson Controls Building Technology and Solutions and Power Solutions division, and then Clarios. He served as the president and chief executive officer, overseeing all aspects of the global business, having joined the organization in 1988.
In his role, he represented the company in the advancement of energy storage technologies, the support of vehicle energy efficiency standards and was an advocate for sound energy and environmental policies.
Prior to being appointed president and CEO in 2014, Joe held roles of increasing responsibility across the business. He served as group vice president and general manager, Systems, Services, and Solutions, North America, as part of Johnson Controls Building Technology and Solutions division.
Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University and a master's of business administration from LaSalle University.
