Ms. Chris Woleske

Chris Woleske, Law ’94, was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2020.

She is the president and chief executive officer at Bellin Health in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She joined Bellin in 1998 and served in many leadership roles, including general counsel, executive vice president leading hospital services, and ultimately chief operating officer, prior to her appointment as the president and chief executive officer in 2018. As a member of the executive leadership team, she has been involved in strategic planning and operational execution of key initiatives for Bellin Hospital, Bellin Medical Group, Bellin Specialty Group, Bellin Psychiatric Center and Bellin Health Oconto Hospital. Before joining Bellin Health, Woleske practiced law at Liebmann, Conway, Olejniczak and Jerry in Green Bay and was an owner and manager of a small family business, Woleske Construction Co.

Woleske is the past chair of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation Board. She has been honored for her leadership and commitment to the community and is a recipient of the Chamber of Commerce Athena Award (2017), the Wisconsin Chapter of the Harvard Business School Leader of the Year Award (2021), the Nancy Armbrust Impact Award (2021), Marquette Law Alumna of the Year Award (2022) and the Green Bay Rotary Free Enterprise Award (2022). Woleske is a member of the Wisconsin Hospital Association Board of Directors, Green Bay Packers Board of Directors and Krueger International Inc. Board of Directors.

A graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program, Woleske earned her juris doctor from Marquette University Law School and has a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
