Rick Arcuri

Rick Arcuri is the acting vice president for student affairs. He began his career at Marquette as the hall director in Schroeder Hall and has held a number of positions over the span of his 35-year career at the university, including facilities manager, assistant and associate dean of residence life, and most recently as executive director of business operations for student affairs. Rick has been honored by both the Division of Student Affairs, receiving an award for outstanding contributions to the division, and by his peers with the Excellence in University Service Award.

Most of the work that Rick has done at Marquette has been behind the scenes as he managed the university dining program, catering services and the Alumni Memorial Union. He has also done extensive amounts of work as the lead person managing the university security camera system and was for many years the person in charge of facility operations in the university’s residence halls and apartments (prior to moving into the Office of Student Affairs).  Rick has been involved with numerous campus building and renovation projects, serving on the building committee for The Commons, renovation teams for Schroeder Hall, Straz Tower and Abbottsford Hall and leading the teams responsible for the renovation projects in Carpenter, Cobeen, McCabe and Humphrey halls.

Rick has a Bachelor of Science degree in forest products and a master’s degree in counselor education, both from The Pennsylvania State University.
