Courtney Johnson-Paez

Courtney Johnson-Paez, Arts ’18, is the administrative assistant for the Center for Teaching and Learning and serves as Vice Chair of University Staff Senate.

In her role with the Center for Teaching and Learning, Courtney provides administrative and operational support by coordinating events, managing communications, supporting faculty development initiatives and overseeing day-to-day office operations. She collaborates with campus partners to plan workshops, symposiums and retreats that advance teaching excellence and student success.

Courtney earned her bachelor’s degree from Marquette University with a double major in social welfare and justice and in criminology and law studies and a Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. In spring 2026, she was honored as an Ignatian Educator of Distinction in recognition of her commitment to advancing Marquette's mission and supporting the success of faculty, staff, and students.
