Erik Albinson

Erik Albinson is a first-generation college student who earned a B.S in Biology from Colorado State University, an M.A. in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership Studies from the University of Iowa. Erik is a learning specialist whose research explores how students can conserve mental energy and lower anxiety through effective time management and study techniques. On a personal note, Erik enjoys Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, fitness cycling, and spending time exploring Wisconsin with his family.

 

Eli Marten

Eli Marten is a two-time alumnus of Marquette University, earning his Bachelor's in Spanish and Anthropology and his Master's in Student Affairs in Higher Education at the institution. He is a passionate advocate for student success and equity within higher education and is excited to be advocating for Marquette students. In his spare time, he enjoys video games, movies, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.

 

Benedict Kemp

Benedict Kemp grew up on the West Coast and then moved to the East Coast, where he earned a Ph.D. studying molecular genetics. Now he's settled in Milwaukee to raise his kids as Midwesterners. In his spare time, Kemp likes to sit quietly and read or be outside doing things like soccer, running, hiking and escaping into nature.

 

Nicolle Skoien

Assistant Director of Retention  

Nicolle Skoien earned her Ph.D. at the University of Missouri in Counseling Psychology. Skoien has worked in higher education for over a decade as an advisor within athletics at UW-Milwaukee, University of Missouri and Marquette University. Skoien was hired as Assistant Director of Student Retention in August 2022 to work with the Academic Engagement Network within the student success initiative. Skoien resides in Mukwonago with her husband, Joe, and their two sons, George and Lewis.
